About Clover & Grid Academy

We are a young Dublin-based academy with one year of focused experience in teaching practical branding and web design. Our mission is to build strong Irish brand identities and modern web design skills through honest, studio-style practice.

Our Origin and Direction

Clover & Grid Academy was founded to bridge the gap between academic design theory and the practical needs of Irish businesses. We noticed that many creatives were confident in aesthetics but less prepared for client workflows, brand strategy, and web delivery.

We built a focused curriculum that starts with research and ends with portfolio-ready work, allowing students and founders to learn in a clear, real-world format.

Irish Identity Focus

Our briefs draw on Ireland’s visual heritage, regional typography, and local audience behaviors. You learn to create brands that feel authentic to Irish contexts without relying on clichés.

Practical Workflow

Assignments mirror how studios work: research, strategy, visual direction, documentation, and presentation. You develop skills that align with real client expectations.

Clear Communication

We train designers to explain their work. Presenting and documenting decisions is part of the process and prepares you for professional collaboration.

Design Philosophy

We emphasize clarity, restraint, and cultural fit. Design should serve the brand story and communicate effectively across digital and print environments. Our curriculum encourages thoughtful choices rather than trends.

Small class sizes allow for detailed critique and guidance. We focus on building confidence through repetition, feedback, and honest evaluation.

Facilities and Learning Environment

Located on Thomas Street, our studio space is designed for hands-on learning. You will work with large-format displays, pinned visual research boards, and collaborative tables, allowing you to experiment and refine your designs in a professional setting.

We also provide structured resources so learners can continue independently between sessions, keeping momentum steady.

Our Commitment

As a young academy, we focus on transparent guidance, steady improvement, and a curriculum that grows with the Irish design industry. We listen to our learners and update our modules carefully to remain practical and relevant.

If you want to build a strong foundation in branding and web design, we are here to support your progress with clear, achievable steps.
